I agree it is one of the closer cheap and healthy versions you can make to the originals

Satisfies the craving for a kebab or donair pretty well. Now just need something other rare nasty ones like poutine or Taco Bell or Dr Pepper.

yes maybe texture is a bit different. I tend to choose the fattiest mince available, as long as the taste is authentic though I'm happy. might do it today in fact, been a while

have done that as I try to avoid carbs.

Tastes good but the texture is different. Commercial stuff is ground finer, has filler (usually carbs) and has straight fat added.

donner is incredibly easy to do at home, lamb or beef. you just need mince and 6 or 7 spices. mould it into a loaf, oven bake then slice. tastes amazing and you know its fresh.

Thats how they do it in Sweden with beef. In France/belgium they use a mixture of veal and turkey. Disgusting.

Can't find lamb donner anywhere.

Re: you favourite foods from around the world
A beef doner? Fuck off, how would you do that? You'd need a fucking filleted how's leg on the spit and slice it off that way, it would be difficult, expensive and not even that nice.
